In August zzzz, "Lanny" from the State of Washington. was awarded the temporary care, custody, and control of his daughter, "Emily," pending a hearing on a Motion to Show Cause. Her mother, "Clarise," who was found to have been constantly reporting false allegations of abuse, was restrained from going near the child (home, day care, school, etc.) or the dad. Mother kidnapped the child and was located by the FBI in Greenfield, Mass., on Friday November 17, zzzz. DSS took the child and apparently were about to turn the child over to the MOTHER. The FBI, DA's office, and police were surprised. (?!) At 2:00 on Monday, Nov. 19th, in Franklin County Probate & Family Court in Greenfield (426 Main Street), there was be a hearing. Dad said that mother was claiming to have been in Mass for the whole 16 months. Dad should have been given FULL FAITH AND CREDIT by Mass. to the Washington State Order and handed the child to Dad. Instead, the court gave temporary custody to DSS and ordered DSS to fly to Washington State with the child and deliver her to the child-protective agency there.. It took a few days to effect. The child was delivered to the agency and eventually to Dad. Clarise was allowed supervised visitation for a period of time.

DETECTIVE FAMILY CRIMES UNIT
Detective Michael L. Johnston of the Bellingham Police Family Crimes Unit, wrote that Clarise could not accept that there was no medical finding of sexual abuse and that Lanny was not prosecuted. He further wrote: "Misty was able to convince many agences and people in the Commuity to support her in what many of us started to believe was her constant false reporting of abuse. . . . In August zzzz Clarise fled . . . with Emily, depriving Lanny of his legal right to his daughter. Lanny had no idea where his daughter was and feared for her well being. Clarise against court order violated the parenting plan, which she had agreed to and had been submitted to the court."

THE BACKSTORY Clarise had originally abandoned both Lanny and Emily when she ran away to a grup cult. She went to Hawaii and then made her way with the sun worshippers to Arizone. She sent Lanny pictures of her nude self worshiping the sun in the Arizona desert. Lanny was awarded custody by the court in Washington. When Clarise returned to Washington, she absconded with the child, dyed the child's hair, changed the child's name, and fled to Massachusetts. When playing with a school friend in Massachusetts, Emily's stories became confusing and provocative, causing the mother of Emily's friend to notify the authorities that "something was suspicious."
