Emancipation        
                                                                                                                                          



      Emancipation of the child shall take place upon the first of the following events to occur:
       

        a.  Graduation from high school (but only if the child is not enrolled in an institution of higher learning following high school),  [This may vary from state to state.]

        b.  Graduation from four years of higher education; however in no event shall child support be paid beyond the child's 23d birthday,   [This may vary from state to state.]

        c.  Attainment of age 18,

        d.  Entry into the military services,

        e.  The child is no longer residing with the custodial parent.

        f.  Marriage of the child, or

        g.  Engaging in full-time permanent employment after the age of 18, but not including summer employment during vacation periods
         

      CAVEAT:  A youngster once emancipated can become legally UNemancipated again.
      Rare but it does indeed happen.
