Forever Fascinating

    Winning Poem April 16, 1999
    Yesterday he came
    And then he came again
    Came into my world
    Came among my dreams

    Angry as I was
I could not move my arms
    Could not strike a blow
    Could not cause him harm

    Then when I awoke
The sun slipped in my eyes
    Slipped away the fears
    Slipped away his crimes

    When again I rest
    I'll plead a little prayer
    Plead for sweeter dreams
    Plead for pleasant air.
